About

Some of my first memories involve art and flowers. While my formal education involved buildings, my favorite school projects included collages and drawings.

Through my work in the architecture industry, I found nature even more valuable. I am so glad to have had the education I did, as it blended so many fields, but in a conversation I had with a colleague about our careers, I realized I wanted to pursue art!

Creating art allows me to slow down and take a closer look at the small and wondrous, celebrating the sweet beauty that surrounds us, which I hope to capture and share via my work. My art career began with black and white sketches of my then hometown of San Francisco, and evolved to include more colors, layers, and subject matter. My focus is on floral portraits as I'm inspired by nature and florists. I live and work in Spokane, WA, influenced by the colors and textures of the beautiful parks and gardens that surround me.

Thank you and enjoy! Oana
